Autumnal fun at Land's End
Posted on Sep 01, 2017

Autumn – perhaps the most beautiful time of year to visit Land’s End? Stunning sunsets, serene sea views, a plethora of wildlife and this crisp Cornish air. So, without further ado here are our top five ways to get the most out of your visit to the westernmost point of Cornwall this Autumn:

1)Take a stroll along the coastal path

The coast path towards picturesque fishing village, Sennen, is just a mile long and suitable for walkers of all abilities. Take in autumnal views stretching across the Atlantic on what promises to be a brilliantly brisk meander.

2)Scoff a Cornish Cream Tea in the Land’s End Restaurant

No visit to Land’s End is complete without a traditional homemade Cornish Cream Tea; it’s customary in Cornwall to layer on your jam first, followed by the clotted cream – fancy mixing it up a little? Don’t worry, we won’t tell! Enjoy a yours with a pot of tea in the Land’s End Restaurant for a modest £7.25.

3)Capture the moment with a loved one

Memories made at Land’s End last a life time, and our rugged Cornish landscape has to be one of the most ‘Instagrammable’ locations in the UK. Why not capture the moment with a quick snap at the iconic Land’s End signpost?

4)Keep a beady eye out for unique wildlife

Land’s End, or Penn-an-Wlas as it is known in the Cornish language, is hot bed for wildlife in all of its forms; birds, sealife, creepie-crawlies – you name it. The site has also been earmarked as a Very Important Plant Area, as well as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty – perfect for the budding David Attenboroughs amongst you!

5)Don your detective hat, and solve the mystery

On 4th November 2017, the Land’s End Hotel invites you to Season Three of the Murder Mystery Chronicles – Death on the Ocean Wave! Sit back, solve the mystery, savour a three-course meal and enjoy an excellent evening with friends and family. Call 01736 871 844 to book.
