Land’s End are delighted to have been chosen as a filming location by Countrywise, the British television series broadcast on ITV.

Broadcaster Paul Heiney and a team of reporters look at the best of Britain's coast and country – and the team spent a day at Land’s End filming the unique coastal ecology.

It featured celebrity horticulturalist, Rachel De Thame.  As part of the programme, Rachel assisted Roger Nicholls, who has worked as gardener at Land’s End for over a decade. They discussed the vast improvement in the environment that Roger has witnessed during his time at Land’s End, due in large part to the introduction of pathways that help protect the fragile landscape from the pressure of visitor numbers.

The programme can be seen at 8pm on 30 August 2012 on ITV1.
