A new head chef has been appointed at the Land’s End Hotel in time to court the tastebuds of diners on Valentine’s Day.
Scott Courts, 34, worked in the Midlands and the Channel Islands before settling in Cornwall earlier this year.
Scott was recruited to his first head chef position 16 years ago and his career highlights include cooking for the hot-tempered taste-buds of Gordon Ramsey and the Aston Villa FC first team.
Nathan Harvey, hotel manager said,
“We are really pleased to welcome Scott to the Land’s End family. I have no doubt that he will prove a fantastic and creative addition to the team.
“Sea-air is said to make people hungry and the spectacular views at our restaurant combined with Scott’s delicious new menu should tempt the taste-buds of locals, hotel guests and foodies alike.”
Speaking about his latest challenge at the AA 3* hotel Scott said:
“Having spent some time working in Crete, I'm hoping to put my own experience as well as personality into the menu.
“There will be wholesome modern classics with an emphasis on Greek and Italian gastronomy, using an abundance of fresh local produce.”
Two or three course dinners are available to book for your Valentine with a special dinner, bed and breakfast offer also available on 13th and 14th February.
