Jeremy Clarkson was at Land's End filming for BBC Top Gear.

On the longest day, shortest night, of the year, Jeremy was aiming to drive from west to east across England. The trip started at Land's End when the sun set, he then had to reach Lowestoft by sunrise the following morning. Look out for the programme being aired later in the year to see if he achieved his goal.

Land's End welcomes over 600 cyclists who had completed the Deloitte Ride Across Britain

The 1,000 mile, 9 day ride from John O’Groats to Land’s End was to raise much needed funds for the Great Britain Paralympic Team as they prepare for the 2012 Games. Olympic athlete James Cracknell was among the cyclists who had made the intrepid trip from John O'Groats, he is pictured below relaxing at the Land's End Signpost.
