Coast by the BBC
This interactive exhibition is the first of its kind and is a celebration of all the fascinating details that the programme has highlighted around the beautiful coast of the British Isles.The exhibition is introduced by Dick Strawbridge, a presenter of COAST and well known TV personality, and features many unique exhibits from around the country which reflect subjects covered in the programmes. The centrepiece is a giant interactive map of the British Isles with region by region touch-screen displays and a special feature on the distinctive Cornish area. The highlight of the exhibition is a unique view over the edge at Land’s End via the Cliff-Cam!
Discover facts ranging from the birth of the weather forecast, to the first message in a bottle, the home of dynamite and the pioneers of diving, plus facts on coastal geology, ecology and wildlife. In addition get face to face with the jaws from a deadly Mako Shark.
