Looking to break the mold and do something different for Valentine’s Day this year? Give that special someone in your life a day to remember, with one of our five alternative Valentine’s Day ideas:

1) A Romantic Retreat:

Make the most of some time to yourselves by escaping to luxury self-catering apartments, The Saddle & Stable Rooms, Sennen.

Enjoy some quality time together by working as a team on an exciting new recipe; cosy-up on the sizable-sofa with your favourite snacks and watch a movie, or explore the great outdoors with Land’s End and Sennen Cove both only a stone’s throw away.

2) An Outdoor Picnic:

Show your loved one how thoughtful you are but putting together a selection of his/her favourite foods, snacks and drinks. A rug, a bottle of Prosecco, a flask of tea or coffee and a selection of sandwiches, cheeses, pasta and salads. Everyone's a winner!

...and what better backdrop than the 100 acres of rugged natural landscape at Land’s End, or a your favourite West Cornwall beach.

3) Ice Skating:

Whether you’re beginners, intermediates or Cornwall’s answer to Torvill and Dean – you’re sure to have a great time gliding across the ice on the Eden Project’s ice-rink.

4) A Scenic Walk and a Pub Lunch:

Work up an appetite by embarking on a trek across one of the many footpaths available in West Cornwall – a great way to drink up the unique local scenery.

The one mile footpath between Sennen Cove and Land’s End has proven incredibly popular amongst our visitors, while the renowned South West Coast Path also runs through the westernmost point of Cornwall.

Just a mile up the road is The First & Last Inn – well known of its mouth-watering home-cooked food and selection of local ales; a surefire way to satisfy your hunger after a brisk Spring walk.

5) A Relaxing Cruise:

We all know that Cornwall is spoilt for wildlife; so, what better place to enjoy a wildlife cruise than Cornwall’s River Helford.

Cruising the Cornish waters at a leisurely pace and keeping your eyes peeled for an array of wildlife unique to the area is bound to leave you feeling relaxed and rejuvenated.
